Weddings in Italy Piedmont, The Palazzo Gozzani Treville, situated in the heart of Casale Monferrato, represents the most well-known and original building of the 1700s in Casale.
It was designed by the architect Giovanni Battista Scapitta in the first decades of the Eighteenth Century, along the ancient city quarter of Saint Paul.
Works were stopped consequent to the architect’s death and were only restarted later on thanks to master mason Giacomo Zanetti from Lugano.
The building was re-adjusted in 1781 in accordance with the neoclassical criteria by Ottavio Bertotti Scamozzi from Vicenza, author of the slightly concave impressive façade so designed to accommodate the curve trend of the street.
The manufactured building is imposing, articulated on three floors out of ground: the ground floor with representative boardrooms surrounding the honour courtyard, the piano nobile, overlooking the street, and the attic allocated to servants and to goods storage.
By going beyond the main entrance, here is the foyer where walls are decorated, the prospective views widen the space limited by cloister and cross vaults, refined by soft rococo stuccos and supported by sleek single or two by two columns.
The honour courtyard is a magnificent scenic background with a main entrance and two galleries placed diagonally to it, one of which gives full access to the large garden.
Historical seat of the Accademia Filarmonica since 1827, the Palazzo Gozzani Treville is more than just an historical location. It is a lively cultural centre, that exploits its history as main potential, and the prestige of its spaces. It has a multiform activity that achieves its best during the concert season, and at the same time, offers a wide range of public and private events.
The beautiful rooms to different dimensions, in fact, are ideal for hosting courses, conferences, meetings and private events; the spacious and well-equipped kitchens can host catering and star chefs to suit any kind of food service.
Not to mention that the Palazzo Gozzani Treville guests also inside the Bar & Restaurant Café pour Parler, which has become the excellence rendezvous point for many Casale residents.
The two rooms, enriched with contemporary art, can make even more exclusive an aperitif, a business lunch and a plain coffee, too!
