The story of the Hotel Brufani Palace, which was inaugurated in 1884 by Mr Giacomo Brufani, starts in the swimming pool. Because it is here, under the Medieval vaults of the ancient Rocca Paolina fortress that the glass bottom of the pool reveals the splendid Etruscan ruins which were brought to light during the restoration of the building.
